Dacra Development’s Craig Robins chats about Art Basel

To be responsible for the preservation of Miami Beach Art Deco is one thing.
To develop new projects on Lincoln Road is another.
And to be the Principal of Design Miami/Basel? That should tell you that you’re dealing with a true artistic innovator.

Combine all three accomplishments, and you have a partial résumé for Craig Robins, the president of Dacra Development.

The powerful art collector, a true force in the South Florida art market, recently spoke seamlessly about some of his favorites, as well as his positive view of the use of art in the workplace. It is overwhelmingly apparent from the start that Robins’ taste for unusual, thought-provoking works is a reflection of his thoroughly sophisticated persona.

It is this mentality and drive that have led Robins to spearhead the rise of the Design District, as well as to be recognized with the 2006 Design Patron Award from the Smithsonian Institution’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

We look forward to seeing more of Robins’ beautifully intricate favorites during Art Basel Miami Beach.
