Haute Agent: Drew Mandile

With 35 years of real estate experience exclusive to the Los Angeles area, Drew Mandile has sold or been involved in more than 1,500 residential transactions on the Westside. He joined Sotheby’s International Realty in 1996 and specializes in the areas of Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Holmby Hills. Seven years after beginning his real estate career in 1972 in Beverly Hills, Drew founded his own real estate agency, employing 35 associate agents. He later sold the firm to a large regional company and prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty was active with several high-end real estate firms in Los Angeles. Since his affiliation with Sotheby’s International Realty, he has recently been responsible for the sale of the largest privately owned parcel in Bel Air: Moraga Canyon, over 260 raw acres. He has also been known for the assemblage of five adjacent lots, each separately owned, on North Carolwood Drive. The owners invested over $100 million in constructing a 50,000-square-foot French-style chateau on the five-acre parcel. Another notable achievement with partner Brooke Knapp was the self-sale of Owlwood and adjoining estates of South Carolwood Drive. Combined to create a ten-acre estate, the $35 million record sale also included the former Jane Mansfield estate, built in 1928 by Rudee Vallee, and its neighbor, the first home in Holmby Hills built by the Janss brothers developers and designed by Gordon Kaufmann. In addition, Drew adds the introduction and sale twice over of the 72-acre guard gated Beverly Ridge development of 12 estates. A member of the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Board of Realtors, Drew has participated on its ethics and arbitration committees. He currently sits on the Boards of Directors of the Beverly Hills Rotary Club and of the Maple Counseling Center.
