Haute Living in the Hamptons
A celebrity owning a home in the Hamptons is as common as meeting a waitress/actress in LA, and Billy Joel is no exception. The “Piano Man” has recently purchased a home in Sagaponack, NY.
As we reported in the Haute Living Celebrity Living section of our New York June/July issue, Billy Joel purchased the oceanfront home for over $18 million. Previous owner, Jaws actor Roy Schneider believes that the home will be perfect for Joel. “He can put his piano on the second floor, overlook the beach and the farmland and write beautiful music for us all,” says Schneider, 74, who wanted to downsize and decided to sell the home. With five bedrooms, five baths, and four fireplaces, Joel, obviously has no plans to downsize anytime soon!
