Yacht Makers Predict Rising Revenues

News | February 1, 2010

While European yacht-making companies like Princess Yachts and Beneteau SA are coming out their most expensive models, their sales could mean that the wealthy are beginning to spend again, as the demand for larger and more modern vessels picks up. Princess Yachts received their first $19.5 million order to build its largest boat ever (a 130-foot vessel), and has since added 80 people to its workforce of 1,800 to work on the rising demand. Beneteau, the world’s largest maker of sailboats, and HanseYachts AG, Germany’s largest yacht maker, are also predicting higher revenues. This is good news, as this is proof that the future will be more promising for yacht makers.
