“Kicking Alz in the balls” is a slogan that could only be uttered by one man, and that man is Seth Rogen. The comedian and his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, hosted their sixth annual variety show for the Alzheimer’s non-profit they founded in 2012, Hilarity For Charity (HFC) in L.A. Saturday night at the Hollywood Palladium. The variety show featured comedic talents from the likes of Michael Che, Sacha Baron Cohen, James Corden, Michael J. Fox, Jeff Goldblum, Tiffany Haddish, Chris Hardwick, Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Kumail Nanjiani, Chelsea Peretti, Craig Robinson, Sarah Silverman, and Michelle Wolf, as well as performances from Post Malone and The Muppets.

The special, which will stream globally on Netflix for the first time, showcased a series of stand-up acts, comedic sketches and musical performances. Proceeds from the event benefited HFC and its goal of raising awareness, inspiring change, and accelerating progress in Alzheimer’s care, research, and support through the engagement of young adults (fitting, given that the non-profit was founded as a resource for the millennial generation, to help bridge the gap in understanding the landscape of Alzheimer’s disease).

“We started the Los Angeles Variety Show six years ago in order to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s, a disease that has touched so many families including my own. Our goal is to educate a younger audience and ultimately create the next generation of advocates for the cause,” said Miller Rogen. “I am so thrilled to be able to share this year’s show with an even larger audience through our relationship with Netflix and are proud to have them as a partner.” Added her hilarious hubby, “Alzheimer’s sucks but comedy doesn’t… Which is why we’re excited to bring them together for one special night.”
