Haute Collab: Rapper Future + Reebok Exclusive Atlanta Sneaker Launch

Monday night, Atlanta rapper Future and Reebok took over Jeffrey Atlanta at Phipps Plaza for the launch of their latest and greatest sneaker collab. Lots of people turned out for the exclusive event and much anticipated new Reebok sneaker designed by the rapper himself.

Reebok and Future began a partnership in 2016 and their products just keep getting better. For this Fall, they once again joined forces for the release of this creative sneaker. Inspired by Future’s zodiac sign of the scorpion, the silhouette is flush with nuances like the mold vamps and ribbed design. As described by XXL Magazine, the shoe features “a full suede upper in a sandstone colorway, the Furykaze also includes hits of white on the Fury Pump and the midsole. Sitting atop of a gum bottom, the sneaker includes the Freebandz logo and Reebok branding on the suede loop of the tonal laces.”

Here’s what Reebok has to say about the sneaker:

“We are really excited to launch the Furykaze, a one-of-a-kind collab shoe that we designed with Future that takes inspiration from two of his favorite Reebok silhouettes, Instapump Fury and Kamikaze. The look and feel of the shoe is unlike anything we’ve ever created here at Reebok. With Future’s creative guidance, we aimed to design something that truly has his design sensibilities in mind and speaks to who he is as a trendsetting artist.”

Reebok will be selectively distributing this shoe into specialty sneaker boutiques including Shoe Palace, Villa, DTLR, Sneakersnstuff, Bodega and Wish. The shoes which come in a creme suede with gum bottoms retail for $250. Furykaze will hit the stores on November 11.

And it was only fitting that the big launch took place at Atlanta’s most elite fashion boutiques, Jeffrey Atlanta. Future was all smiles in his pink-themed Louis Vuitton outfit and, of course, his Reebok Furykaze kicks. He posed for pictures with fans and hung out with his friends throughout the evening. He even held post at the register at Jeffrey as people lined up for their pair of shoes. His proud mother (pictured with him below) was also at the party to celebrate her celebrity artist son’s newest artistic creation.
