The Sunday City Brunch is something every Bostonian needs to experience at least once, if not a few too many times, and lucky for you, it starts back up this Sunday. The lavish spread complete with live music returns once again with buffet stations named after some of Boston’s hautest neighborhoods, including the Seaport District (featuring a raw bar, sushi and lobster mac and cheese bites), the North End (offering Italian favorites) and a taste of the Financial District’s breakfast (displaying specialties like eggs Benedict and cinnamon brioche French toast), Seatings are available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sundays beginning September 10, 2017.

Beermosas, anyone? Don’t knock it until you have tried the sweet combination of orange juice, Elderflower liqueur, Allagash White and a splash of bubbly. It’s the only way to kick start the morning at this tap house in the Fort Point Channel that serves up everything from chicken and waffles, pork and sweet potato hash and blueberry pancakes to steak and eggs, braised bacon Benedict (shown here) and a prime rib French dip sandwich.

You still have time to reserve a rooftop table for the Sunday City Brunch held at the Taj from April through November. High atop the Back Bay hotel that sits prominently at the corner of Arlington and Newbury Streets, you will find one of the prettiest views of the city overlooking the Public Garden. The all-you-can-eat feast includes an array of breakfast selections, oysters, shrimp cocktail and other raw bar options, carving stations, salads, desserts and everything in between.

This is *the* place to go with a hearty appetite when you are craving a ribeye first thing in the morning. Their bone-in cut comes complete with crispy poached eggs, Bowfin caviar hollandaise and hash, but if you are looking for something a bit lighter, try the egg sandwich or French toast. The Fort Point neighborhood restaurant’s Sunday specialty might be one of the most decadent brunch menus in town (think butter poached lobster with Johnny cakes and Spoonbill caviar, duck confit hash with cheddar Mornay; and waffles with chicken fried oysters topped with maple Tabasco gravy).

Is there really a better way to end a weekend celebration than with a build-your-own Bloody Mary complemented with shrimp, lobster or a side of bacon while sitting on one of the hautest patios in town? We thought not. This Newbury Street people-watching haute spot is where we go when we are craving comfort food favorites. Try the breakfast offerings like the warm cinnamon monkey bread drizzled with icing, frittered French toast with mascarpone cheese and raspberry jam or the hearty skillet breakfast; or lunch samplings of chunky chicken salad, North End style grinder or Cuban sandwich.
