As a nation we have an insanely weird addiction to guac, so it makes sense to give the appetizer its own holiday. National Guacamole Day is real and it’s happening September 16, which is also Mexico’s independence day. We love avocados so much prices rose up to 125% since the beginning of the year according to ARA (American Restaurant Association). Not sure about you, but I’m still about that extra guac life. “Double scoops sir, thanks.” Good thing these places won’t charge extra. The most delicious places to celebrate National Guacamole Day are:

BONITO MICHOACAN

You remember La Loma from the Best Places For appy Hour With A View In Las Vegas, right? Well, this is their sister restaurant and they too serve guacamole homemade, and tableside. Located: 3715 South Decatur Boulevard Las Vegas, NV 89103. Hours: Monday to Wednesday from 10AM to 10PM, Thursday to Friday from 10AM to 11PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9AM to 11PM.

 


 

BORRACHA MEXICAN CANTINA

Guacamole topped with queso fresco, radish, and side of chips. Mmmmm-M! Get some margaritas while you’re at. Located: 2300 Paseo Verde Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89052. Hours: Sunday to Thursday from 4PM to 10PM and Friday to Saturday 4PM to 11PM.


TACOS & BEER:

On Tuesday’s they do tacos and beer with live techno music, but for National Guacamole Day they don’t have just one type of guac; they have three. The bacon, cotija cheese and corn, pomegranate & toasted pumpkin seeds, or go all the way back to basics with the classic guacamole. Located: 3900 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89169. EL SEGUNDO SOL

So fresh and so green, green. Ain’t nobody as dope as guacamole, so it makes sense to give guac it’s own holiday. This place serves it in a traditional “molcajete,” which is a stone tool used to grind food products. Located: 3200 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109. Hours: Monday to Thursday from 11AM to 10PM and 11AM to 11PM on Friday and Saturday.
