6 Of The Greatest Sports Bars For Sunday Football

Between beer and a terrible explanation of how Fantasy Football works I was in a fog. Originally I figured I had all the answers for the greatest sports bars for Sunday Football. Not much of a drinker myself, but I was the designated driver for nearly all my friends during my uni years. The search was futile. Well, until I asked the Greek society. Great bars don’t care about your personal space. They care about TVs. And sports bar people don’t care about personal space. They car about beer and winning. I drank and I watched for this piece. Basic journalism.

CROWN & ANCHOR

It’s feels like I’m cheating on Las Vegas by exposing the sports bar Crown & Anchor. All of a sudden I have no remorse. You deserve to know. Not the biggest bar, but the attending crowd takes their sports damn seriously. The British inspired pub draws in UNLV students and tourists alike. Try the fish and chips. One day I had these and skipped class. Located: 350 E Tropicana Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89119. Hours: 24/7.

AmeriCAN BEER BAR

This is located somewhat on the strip depending on how you look at it, but I know a ton of people who drive up here to watch football on Sundays. There’s two parts to AmeriCAN Beer Bar: the inside and the outside patio. I’ll bet it’s the daily “Power Hour” that makes this bar so popular. Meaning $1 drafts and cocktails starting at 7:04 p.m. sharp. Located: The LINQ at 3535 Las Vegas Blvd S. Las Vegas, NV 89109. Hours: Monday – Thursday 11AM – 12AM. Friday 10:30 a.m. to 2AM. Saturday 9AM to 2AM. Sunday 9AM to 12AM.

THE STILL

The smartest thing The Still did was add an airstream to their sports bar. Refurbished and turned into a kitchen for the people’s food and for the people’s eye. People like weird and odd so much they begin to act like wild animals. This bar has 27 screens and over 50 craft beers sending you into a panic upon ordering. Located: The Mirage Hotel at 3400 S. Las Vegas Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89109. Hours: Monday – Thursday 4pm – 1am. Friday 11am – 1am (kitchen closes at 12:30 a.m.). Saturday – Sunday 9am – 1am.

BEER PARK

Well, this is an interesting concept. The Beer Park at the Paris is by Budweiser, and it’s scenic. If you’re into ignoring the view of the Bellagio fountains to focus on football and 100 eclectic beer options including 36 brews, then meet me here because same. Located: Paris 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89109. Hours: Monday – Thursday 11AM – 12AM. Friday 11AM to 2AM. Saturday 9AM to 2AM. Sunday 9AM to 12AM.

BAR CODE

Cooked with all fresh ingredients, the burgers at this local sports bar is addicting. Bar Code has 20 screens around the entire bar and 18 beers on tap, and games. Yeah, Sunday football and stuff, but I mean shuffleboard, two professional cork dartboards, pool table, beer pong, and corn hole. Located: 1590 E Flamingo Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89119. Hours: 24/7.

BORN AND RAISED

Do you know what happens to people who enter Born and Raised? They come out wanting to “literally die,” for their food or seeking wedding arrangements with it. I once met a person (my friend) who told me they visited three days in a row. There are plenty TVs all around the bar and even a dedicated lounge at the Cimarron location, plus screens in the bathrooms. Located: 7260 S Cimarron Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89113. Hours: 24/7.
