10 New York Dinner Spots That Actually Live Up To Their Hype

10 New York dinner spot that actually manage to live up to their hype, from Buddakan to Sugar Fish to Minetta Tavern to Cosme.

“You have to try La Esquina. It’s the best taco you’ll ever try.”

“You need to go to L’Artusi for the best pasta you’ve ever had.”

“Did you see that Netflix special on Cosme? We have got to try it!”

I don’t know about you, but for me, it feels like everywhere I go there’s someone telling be about a different New York dinner spot with a bouncer and a five month wait list that I absolutely HAVE to try asap.

But which ones are actually living up their hype? Frankly, the way I see it, there are too many awesome restaurants in this city to waste time at anything subpar.

And, unfortunately, I’ve spent more than a little bit of time that restaurants that were less than awesome. But, by that same token, I’ve also gone to some restaurants that absolutely rocked my word.

Buddakan
