Could Kobe Bryant already be planning a return to the LA Lakers despite less than a season away? According to new GM Rob Pelinka, it’s a possibility. During Pelinka’s introductory press conference, he confirmed that he’s already had discussions with the NBA legend—though not for a floor position. If he returned to assist his team, it would likely be in an operational role, joining Pelinka (his former agent) and new team advisor Earivn “Magic” Johnson to work alongside part-owner and Lakers president Jeannie Buss.
Rob Pelinka said he has “absolutely” talked to Kobe about having possible involvement. Pelinka: “He’s 100% behind everything Laker”
