There’s nothing like a good burger; whether you’re looking for a classic cheeseburger or something more decadent, Miami has it all. We’ve tested them out and rounded up a haute list of the best of the best in the Magic City, from famed chef Michael Mina’s new haute spot in the Fontainebleau Hotel to the city’s iconic steakhouse, The Forge. Here’s what you need to know about each one of these mouthwateringly delicious, big-time burgers:
1 Dry Aged Burger from Michael Mina Pizza & Burger
This haute pizza and burger spot first emerged as a pop up in the Fontainebleau Hotel, but became such a crowd-favorite that it announced its permanent residency within the hotel earlier this fall. The Dry Aged burger is one of the restaurant's best, made with double-smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce and the spot's savory secret sauce.
2 "The Forge" 10 oz Burger
The iconic Miami steakhouse of course features a serious burger on the menu. Dubbed after the restaurant's name, the signature "The Forge" burger is 10 ounces of deliciousness, made with blue cheese, caramelized onions, smoked bacon, Tomatillo Relish. Opt for the extra $8 to get the truffle fried egg to complete the meal.
3 Original db Burger from db Bistro
This monstrosity is as gourmet as burgers come, and only for the most serious of eaters, served at Daniel Boulud's downtown Miami db bistro. The $35 Sirloin Burger is filled with braised short ribs, foie gras, black truffle and served on a parmesan bun with fries, and is worth every penny.
4 Cypress Burger from Cypress Tavern
Michael Schwartz's Design District haute spot Cypress Tavern whips up a decadent burger, easily standing as one of the restaurant's most popular dishes. The burger is created with the famed chef's signature style, composed of jasper hill landaff, onion marmalade and thrice-cooked fries.
5 STK: Lil Brgers
Don't be fooled by the size of these mini sliders--one bite of these and your tastebuds will be bursting with delicious flavor. The tasty little bites are so good we guarantee you will be asking for another round. Each one is made with Angus beef patty, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato, pickles and the special sauce--the key ingredient--on a brioche bun.
