If you love your champagne, you’re simply going to bubble over with happiness this weekend as the 24th edition of the Grand Marque Champagne Event heads to Santa Monica this weekend.
On Sunday, June 5 from 5-8 pm, nearly 100 champagnes and sparkling wines from Wally’s Wine & Spirits—the haute Beverly Hills eatery known for assembling the finest collection of wine, spirits and specialty foods in L.A. in an old school European vinoeteca setting—will be poured at Le Merigot Beach Hotel.
Here you’ll find the best bubblies from around the world including the likes of Dom Perignon, Krug, Salon and Cristal, alongside signature dishes offered from nearly 20 leading restaurants.
Cafe del Rey returns with its sumptuous raw bar, complete with oysters, and for the 24th year in a row, a Celestino Drago restaurant—Drago Centro—will attend. Also set to participate this year are restaurants including Baldoria, Cezanne at Le Merigot, Knuckle & Claw, La Vecchia, Locanda del Lago, Maru, Melisse, Michael’s, Pastina, Red O, Sam’s by the Beach, The Tea Room and Wally’s Beverly Hills.
Additional tasty treats will include Calvisius Caviar, Cortez Bottarga by Healthy Earth, delicacies from Wally’s Cheese Box, Bar Cacoa Chocolates and La Colombe Coffee.
The David Arana Quartet’s live music will again set the tone for a lively evening, while a silent auction will present a number of unique wine-buying opportunities, along with special tours, tastings and overnight accommodations.
Proceeds raised for the event will benefit the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation and Food on Foot. Last year, a record $50,000 was donated to beneficiaries, bringing the total raised over the past 24 years into the millions.
