If you have the Midas Touch like Rihanna does, you might as well look the part.
The songbird posted the above shot of herself to social media. The Bajan beauty snapped herself listening to her forthcoming and hotly anticipated LP Anti.
But because she’s Rihanna, she couldn’t listen to one of the most anticipated albums of 2016 with just any old headphones. Nope—her buds cost a cool $8,895.
Her opulent headphones come courtesy of Dolce&Gabbana, naturally. The Napa leather rhinestone headphones with crown were featured in the Italian luxury brand’s 2016 runway show.
The gold listening device features a crown headband adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls as well as padded headphones with metallic rings embellished with still more Swarovski jewels as well as a 100% lambskin lining.
RiRi’s headphones are functional, too. They have compatibility with MP3 players, smartphones, and other audio devices, while the cable shows an in-line remote for volume and playback.
It’s a bold move to publicly photograph yourself wearing a crown, but in Rihanna’s case, we think she’s more than earned the right.
For those less interested in her earware and more interested in her music, it’s been over three years since the 27-year-old singer released her last album, Unapologetic (which featured such hits like “Diamonds” and “Stay”). ANTI is anticipated to be released in February, especially as Rihanna will be heading out on the ANTI World Tour, which kicks off at the end of February in San Diego.
Despite the tour, the album does not yet have a release date. By posting the headphone shot on Twitter with the caption “Listening to ANTI”, the singer fueled speculation that her album is finally about to hit stands. We only hope she wears the D&G headphones at her first official listening party.
