If you’re searching for an elite private-jet charter travel experience, we have uncovered a new luxury airlines slated to disrupt the airways. Meet JetPurple Airwayz, touted as a private jet travel for the public.

JetPurple Airwayz, which debuted roughly three years ago, launched in partnership with Public Charters and Blacker Airport in Manistee, Michigan. It operates as a United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) regulated public air charter and delivers commercial scheduled passenger airline service. The interior is purple-themed with seats, carpet and wall texture of the airplanes in purple. The promotional video for the airline features music legend Jimi Hendrix’s classic, “Purple Haze.”

Why purple-themed you ask? According to the airline’s website, purple is not only the color of royalty, but also the color of passion, bravery as well as the single unifying color of America. As stated by CEO Adam Blumenkranz the color is a homage to the Southwest, since the company’s flight paths will be centered around Los Angeles and Scottsdale, Az.

Since 2012, JetPurple has been operating non-stop air service from Chicago’s Midway International Airport and lakeside vacation destination Manistee, Michigan’s Blacker Airport. In 2013, it began operating from Scottsdale Airport to San Diego (SAN), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Las Vegas (LAS), Denver (DEN), and first international route, Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Mexico (PPE). All routes are fixed based operator, meaning this commercial airline travels from private terminal to private terminal.

More importantly, since JetPurple’s routes are fixed based operator, there are no lines, no baggage fees, no parking fees, no intrusive security scans, no consumer congestion, no airport stress and your furry friends fly for free—as long as they meet pet policy.

“As a next generation airline JetPurple is a smarter choice in commercial scheduled passenger air travel than the old airlines. Plane power to the people!” Blumenkranz said.
