5 Best Autumn Road Trips From Dallas

News | September 10, 2015

Autumn is the most colorful season of the year and, although New England gets a lot of tourist love, East Texas offers a colorful, closer option beginning in October and lasting through the first week or so of November. Since there is a nice combination of hardwoods and evergreens the color in the area is generally pretty spectacular with those bright autumn colors against the deep green pines and cedars. We’ve had plenty of rain this year, and forecasters are calling for a chillier than normal fall in our area, so the crimsons, oranges, golds, and yellow display should be particularly vibrant. As always, it’s a good idea to cal ahead to check with the chamber of commerce or B&B in the area you plan to visit — just to make sure that you aren’t disappointed.
