BMW-7-Series

For BMW fans, the wait is almost over.

The illustrious German car manufacturer will unveil its latest update to its flagship vehicle, the 2017 BMW 7-Series, via a public livestream on June 10. The model hasn’t enjoyed a major revision since 2008, and BMW promises that this new iteration won’t be a simple face-lift, but a complete overhaul.

To sate impatient gear-heads, BMW has launched a brief teaser video that previews some of the new design choices and technologies packed into the new vehicle. The new BMW will weigh 300 pounds less than the outgoing model thanks to a new modular platform crafted out of carbon fiber and aluminum. The car will also introduce BMW’s remote-controlled parking system, which allows users to park the vehicle in tight spaces using controls on the key fob.

The public livestream is set for June 10 at 6:50 pm ET. BMW CEO Harald Krüger, Research & Development head Klaus Fröhlich, and Design Director Adrian van Hooydonk are expected to speak at the event
