Officine Panerai Sponsors Sailing Heals’ First Children’s Sail in Coconut Grove
Sailing Heals took kids from Miami Children's Hospital out on the water for a day of sailing sponsored by Officine Panerai.
On Sunday, a very special event took place in the waters off Coconut Grove. To celebrate their annual sponsorship of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge North American Circuit, Officine Panerai got together with their official charity partner, Sailing Heals, and hosted their first dedicated children’s sail in Miami.
The day kicked off with an Italian lunch hosted by Officine Panerai for a special group of young people from Miami Children’s Hospital aged 5 to 15, along with their families and caregivers, who undoubtedly benefited from a day on the waves as well.
The day of sailing is intended to help heal patients, if not physically, at least emotionally. It has been proven that getting out into nature helps everyone’s psyche, and the sea is Miami’s best natural resource. Fortunately, conditions were perfect for the inspired day of sailing that will hopefully be the first of many children-centric sails in the area by the organization.

Host captains and volunteers from the Coconut Grove Sailing Club helped make the day possible, which coincided with Miami Sailing Week.
