In honor of National Fragrance Day on March 21, we decided to name our top 10 fragrances for spring 2015. Without further ado, it’s time to celebrate—so get sniffing!
MARNI SPICE: Available this March, Marni Spice is a rich and heady fragrance, which opens with flavors of black pepper and pink pepper, supported with lemon, ginger and cardamom aromas. The heart adds a floral union of roses (Bulgarian rose oil, rose absolute), mimosa and jasmine, sweetened with cinnamon, along with warm patchouli, benzoin and musk.
JO MALONE LONDON TUDOR ROSE + AMBER COLOGNE: Take a step back in history with this new fragrance from Jo Malone London from its new five-piece Rock The Ages collection. We love this blast back into British history as well the intoxicating aromas from the Tudor Rose & Amber fragrance, which features rose absolute, clove, ginger and amber. The packaging—an opulent red velvet ribbon—will make you feel especially Royal.
VERSACE EROS: Medusa may be featured on the bottle of Versace’s latest fragrance, but trust us: this scent is nothing but beauty. The composition opens with Sicilian lemon, Calabrian bergamot and pomegranate accords, with a heart of lemon, sambac jasmine absolute, jasmine infusion and peony. The base incorporates sandalwood, ambrox, musk and various woody notes. It’s aroma is gorgeous, as is its golden packaging.
EDITIONS DE PARFUMS FREDERIC MALLE COLOGNE INDELEBILE: We love every scent by Frederic Malle, a man who truly “nose” his scents. In “Indelebile” expect to smell a heady mixture of bergamot, lemon, narcissus, orange blossom, neroli and musks. It is unforgettable.
AERIN LAUDER ROSE DE GRASSE: The hundred-petaled Rose Centifolia, hand picked in Grasse – the French capital of perfumery since the 16th century – is at the heart of this meticulously crafted fragrance from Aerin Lauder. Enhanced by Rose Otto Bulgarian and Rose Absolute, and given further depth by warming musk, this alluring scent perfectly captures the flower that symbolizes beauty and femininity.
MOJAVE GHOST: We adore the cool yet complex scent (and packaging) of Byredo Parfums Mojave Ghost, which revolves around the ghost flower, a bud which blooms in the desert.
