Once upon a time in the west, the London West Hollywood‘s tony 10th floor rooftop wasn’t available to Angelenos, aside from those who were attending events or actually staying at the hotel. That’s about to change, and just in time for summer.

The haute hotel will open Brit Bar, an outdoor rooftop lounge and restaurant inspired by British fare with glittering views of the Los Angeles skyline.

The sophisticated, modern dining destination will offer guests a modern twist on hand-crafted English cocktails and cuisine with a playful nod to British tradition, in a relaxed but gorgeous environment.

The menu will feature an array of culinary delights that take a modern twist on British favorites. It was conceived by Anthony Keene, Executive Chef of the hotel’s Gordon Ramsay restaurants, the chef at the London’s Michelin-starred eatery, Gordon Ramsay at the London.

Keene created a unique menu for guests with playful-but-polished dishes, ranging from snacks and small plates to hearty entrees and indulgent desserts. Guests can gather at the restaurant’s intimate tables to sample savory starters such as Scotch Egg and the English Ale Onion Soup; or dine on an abundant list of entrees including a Yorkshire Ale Fish & Chips; Pot Roasted Bubble & Squeak Branzino; Scottish Salmon and more.

The al fresco Brit Bar lounge acts as the ideal venue for a pre-dinner aperitif or sunset happy hour, with plush lounges and swish cocktails. Soaking in the skyline experience, guests can sample a variety of locally-sourced handcrafted hard ciders or the London’s signature gin cocktails such as the Pink Lady — a gin and lemonade combination perfect for the summer season. With a concentration on innovative mixology, the London POPs — a fresh blackberry and vodka concoction frozen in a tall shot glass with a Popsicle stick —  adds a lighthearted nature to the experience with an entertaining treat. There will be, of course, the traditional English drink of a Pimms Cup – with a twist.
