The Row Finally Opens in LA Today
Today is a very important day for fashion-loving Angelenos: the Olsen twins’ first flagship location of The Row is finally opening its doors.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen‘s LA-based couture store will be located at 8440 Melrose Place. The 3,800-square-foot decor will mirror a “quintessential modern California pad.”
The “hidden gem” of an interior has been designed by celebrity interior designer Courtney Applebaum and architect David Montalba, the man behind Isabel Marant‘s Los Angeles location. The store also features for-sale furniture from boutiques such as Galerie Half, JF Chen, Blackman Cruz and Thomas Hayes Gallery.
There will also be art hanging in “galleries” as well as a selection of jewelry and other bits and bobs from the sisters’ personal stock. Clothing, of course, will be featured, but the Olsens wanted their flagship location to be about so much more than just clothes. Ashley told WWD that the concept of their store “was about setting [the shop] up like a home and just having the apparel be a part of the space.”
You’ll have to check out the boutique – which also features a courtyard swimming pool and a “library” room — for yourself now that this fan-favorite luxury line is finally at your fingertips.
