When searching for the perfect slice, New York is inevitably the first location on the map. Pizza: New Yorkers devour it, and ex-New Yorkers dream of it. This week, Luxury Attaché weighs in on New York’s top five pizzas.
1 Otto Enoteca Pizzeria
Two words: Mario Batali. Two more words: Pizza, Wine. Put it all together and what have we got: Otto Enoteca Pizzeria. This Batali masterpiece churns out the most magnificent thin crust pizzas on the New York scene. Otto is not only our top pick because of the pizza but also because of the insane Italian wine selection. Our Attachés suggest trying the Marinara and Vongola pizzas. Don't even think about sharing.

2 Joe's Pizza
Warning: Self-control is prohibited. One slice of Joe's Pizza could be habit forming. This family-owned Greenwich Village institution draws in fans near and far including Hollywood's elite. Just check out the celebrity picture wall where Joe poses with some of his best customers including Leonardo DiCaprio and SJP. Joe's is a simple by-the-slice kind of joint. They also deliver, but it's just not the same.

3 John's Pizzeria of Bleecker Street
No slices. No reservations. Just pies. Only walk-ins. Established in 1929, John's Pizzeria on Bleecker is a West Village gem. In fact, it's a diamond. With an addictive sauce that's almost sweet and a perfectly crisp crust, the wait for brick-oven pizza is always long. Being that New Yorkers are notorious for being impatient, they also offer take-out.

4 Di Fara
No 'top five pizza' list is complete without a Di Fara mention. Some have deemed this slice as the best in the world. Seriously, this pizza has a cult following that could rival Madonna's. Worshipers of Di Fara line up for a slice from the pizza god, Dom Demarco. Make the trek to Brooklyn, wait in line, and shake the man's hand. No regrets.
1424 Avenue J Brooklyn, NY 11230
Neapolitan in style and preparation, the airy dough and house-made mozzarella refine the traditional slice. That being said Roberta's Pizza in Brooklyn is far from refined. Remember the naked waitress? With random pop-ups around the city and unique slice combinations, Roberta's makes for an unforgettable experience.
