Believe it or not, there is one thing in life that terrifies George Clooney. That Oscar winner was forced to face his fear of public singing while being honored at Barbara Davis’ October 20 Carousel of Hope gala. Clasping a bottle of wine for liquid courage, the actor, who received the evening’s “Brass Ring Award” for his many philanthropic efforts, joined Neil Diamond for a rousing rendition of “Sweet Caroline” at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Guests like Quincy Jones, Clive Davis and Jay Leno also helped to raise $2.5 million for the organization, which was sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, Belvedere and Chandon.
