Rebecca Minkoff
Born in San Diego, CA, Rebecca Minkoff has established herself as an industry leader in casual luxury handbags, accessories, and apparel. Her playful and subtly edgy designs have received acclaim both in the US and abroad. Her passion for fashion design started at a young age as Rebecca grew up designing and sewing clothing. She moved to New York after her high school graduation to pursue a career as a designer.
As her famous “I Love New York” tee made its way onto Jay Leno and into US Weekly, Rebecca found herself sewing on the floor of her New York apartment for the next few years in response to her explosive popularity and to fulfill the flood of orders she received. In 2005, Rebecca tried her hand at handbags, resulting in the now iconic Morning After Bag. Her versatile designs have become a favorite of both everyday women and celebrities alike. In 2009 she introduced a ready-to-wear collection. She was honored as a New York Moves Power Woman for her entrepreneurial success in the fashion industry and was admitted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2010.
As she continues to grow in popularity, Rebecca Minkoff strives to connect with her consumers and become a complete lifestyle brand for today’s fashion-forward woman.
