Swiss Brand, Bally, Opens New Store in Washington D.C.

News | October 3, 2011

With 160 years under its perfectly constructed, fine leather belt, the Bally brand continues to represent understated and timeless elegance in its designs. And a part of the Swiss house’s plan to trudge forward in this grand tradition includes expansion by way of new store openings.

The most recent, in Washington D.C.’s Tysons Galleria, was unveiled to a stellar crowd of Bally devotees with an exclusive cocktail party last Thursday, September 29. The event, hosted by Esquire magazine, was also graced by the presence of Swiss Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Mr. Manuel Sager and his wife, Mrs. Christine Sager.

Ten percent of the evening’s proceeds were donated to the charity of Mrs. Sager’s choice: FAIR Fund, a Washington-based charity working to prevent human trafficking of youth worldwide by building community leadership, providing education and empowerment programs, and offering compassionate intervention services, which was explained to the crowd in brief speeches by both the Ambassador and his wife.

Champagne and shopping, all for a good cause—sounds like my kind of party.
