Time stood still for a moment to announce the newest milestone for luxury watch and diamond jewelry brand, Jacob & Co, at the Baselworld trade show in Basel, Switzerland. On March 29, 2011, Jacob & Co unveiled the much anticipated face of their newest advertising campaign “The Jacob Girl,” as world renowned beauty and actress Milla Jovovich. Founder of the company, Jacob Arabo presented Jovovich as his newest muse to embody his concept of a woman who “is a sophisticated world traveller, self accomplished and exudes an assertive feminine personality, and lastly who is absolutely gorgeous!”
The announcement was unveiled during a luxurious red carpet cocktail reception which was decadently decorated in an elaborate setting of live illuminated model statues portraying Jacob & Co’s global philosophy of multiple time zones, where each of the models were decorated to represent particular cities and ethnicities such as London, Moscow, Dubai, Hong Kong and of course the Big Apple and birthplace of Jacob & Co, New York City.
Guests at the event indulged at a Dom Perignon champagne bar and were entertained by famed DJ Kay Rush who played the role of multi lingual MC, greeting the crowd in five different languages. Milla Jovovich directed a warm acceptance speech to both Jacob & Co and the audience expressing her gratitude and testament to her commitment to her role in embracing “The Jacob Girl.”
