Patina Restaurant Group Set to Open New Space at LACMA
If you haven’t paid a visit to Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) since the King Tut exhibit or been in the cultural mindset since the good ol’ high school field trip days, you’ll soon be tempted to head over to the famous Miracle Mile museum for some tasty new eats in a chicer, livelier setting.
Prepare to power lunch in style because on March 3, the infamous Patina Restaurant Group will spread its all mighty culinary wings again and open Ray’s restaurant and Stark Bar as part of LACMA’s ongoing renovation project. Honoring the late Ray Stark—influential producer of such films as Steel Magnolias and Funny Girl, and previous LACMA trustee—the space will breathe even more life into the property with an impressive indoor/outdoor Renzo Piano designed space. Dinner and conversation will occur inside at the restaurant, while drinks, bar bites, and scintillating gossip will float about outside at Stark Bar.
Encased in floor-to-ceiling glass walls, the destination will be decorated with mid-century furnishings and headed up by well-known Executive chef, Kris Morningstar, who comes from popular LA hotspots, including AOC and Blue Velvet. Patina Group founder Joachim Splichal hand picked Morningstar to collaborate on a seasonal “farm-to-table” menu, in hopes of sating visitors with unparalleled, Mediterranean specialties and artisanal cocktails.
Sample dishes have not been released yet, but for more information, visit the Microsite. Make your reservations now by calling 323.857.6180.
LACMA is located at 5905 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles.
