For the first official day of fashion week, the haute design brand LUCA LUCA took us deep into the woods as they debuted their Fall/Winter 2011 collection at The Stage at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Since its inception in 1991, LUCA LUCA has become synonymous with luxury and timeless fashion. The brand is known for its traditional us of Italian craftsmanship, yet combined with modern and fashion-forward designs, colors, and fabrics.
This season, Creative Director Raul Melgoza’s features timeless, natured-inspired pieces in ultra-glamorous fabrics and textures. The first part of the collection was full of rich olive greens, chartreuse, and burnt-sienna browns, and unique “branch-like” patterns. These were then mixed with bold fuschias and orange that elegantly came together on the runway. Meigoza said that his collection was designed to “represent a sexy, sophisticated woman with an uninhibited desire for adventure.”
