While they have not publicly discussed how they got pregnant, chances are they were tracking their cycle in some way or another. And perhaps they were even using a haute new tech gadget that everyone\u2019s talking about? Allow us to introduce you to the\u00a0Ava<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0bracelet, the first celebrity approved and tested fertility tracking device.<\/p>\n

With its headquarters in San Francisco, the sensor bracelet was developed by Swiss entrepreneur\u00a0Lea von Bidder<\/strong>. Here\u2019s how it works: a woman who is trying to get pregnant wears the sleek teal bracelet at night. During sleep, Ava collects data on nine different physiological parameters like skin temperature, resting pulse rate, and heat loss. It detects changes that occur at the beginning of the fertile window and after ovulation. Ava uses all this information and a proprietary algorithm to figure out when the female is most fertile. The bracelet syncs with the Ava smartphone app providing woman with real time data on menstrual phases, sleep intake, and stress rates.<\/p>\n

More and more women are using Ava as a tool to get pregnant and late last year Ava announced its first celebrity baby,\u00a0Emerson Avery Tolbert<\/strong>, the daughter of two contestants from ABC\u2019s hit show\u00a0The Bachelor<\/i>.\u00a0Jade Tolbert<\/strong>\u00a0met her husband,\u00a0Tanner<\/strong>, a contestant on\u00a0The Bachelorette<\/i>, while filming the series\u2019 beachy spinoff,\u00a0Bachelor in Paradise<\/i>. The duo, who\u2019s wedding was featured on ABC, have incredibly public lives, so when the time came for them to have children, the Tolberts shared every step with fans along the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone follows our lives and knew we were trying. When we decided to have a family, we heard about Ava,\u201d Tolbert told\u00a0Haute Living\u00a0<\/i>at a recent lunch at\u00a0Perbacco<\/strong>\u00a0restaurant in downtown SF. \u201cHow cool is it that you can literally put a bracelet on your wrist, go to sleep, and you have the data from your body telling you when you should get pregnant?\u201d Tolbert told her 950K Instagram followers about Ava and encouraged her fellow\u00a0Bachelor<\/i>\u00a0friends to use the device.<\/p>\n

She admits that she was unexpectedly surprised by the amount of women who contacted her about the bracelet. In fact, so many women shared their personal pregnancy journeys with Tolbert that she reached out to Ava to see if she could became a spokeswoman for the brand. \u201cI\u2019m 30, so sometimes you\u2019re wondering. The biological clock is ticking. You don\u2019t know if you can have children, so we decided to share that journey,\u201d she says. \u201cI had such an outreach of so many woman asking so many questions. I didn\u2019t know that this many women have such a hard time getting pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tolbert was able to conceive a couple of months after she started using Ava and worked with the brand throughout her pregnancy. Tolbert, who was holding her adorable brunette baby on her lap during our discussion, got teary eyed. \u201cIt\u2019s emotional. I\u2019m a mom,\u201d she said wiping back tears. \u201cI wanted to share that information and experience with so many women because it\u2019s so helpful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other\u00a0Bachelor\u00a0<\/i>alums who used Ava to get pregnant include\u00a0Carly Waddell, Desiree Seigfried,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Catherine Giudici\u00a0<\/strong>. Celebrity fans of the brand are\u00a0Nicole Phelps, Audrina Patridge, Brittany Aldean, Tori Spelling, Lauren Manzo<\/strong>, and\u00a0Katherine Webb<\/strong>. While Von Bidder warns that the bracelet doesn\u2019t increase a female\u2019s fertility, knowing the exact time when you are most fertile can almost double a couple\u2019s chance of conceiving. The information Ava collects allows women everywhere to find out just when that time of month is\u2014and to hopefully give birth to a beautiful baby like the Tolberts did.<\/p>\n
