Dr. Sam Rizk

Sam Rizk, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon in New York City and director of Manhattan Facial Plastic Surgery, PLLC. He holds certifications from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. With over 20 years of experience, he has performed thousands of complex rhinoplasties and facelift procedures.

An Artistic Approach. Dr. Rizk began shaping and creating faces with clay as a young child, and that love of fine arts carried into his surgical career. He has developed and published his own surgical methods that customize procedures based on each patient's facial structure and stage of aging, rather than using a standard approach. He has authored landmark articles on facelift, rhinoplasty, and blepharoplasty, outlining how these procedures should be performed differently for younger and older patients.

Training and Expertise. Dr. Rizk received his medical degree through an accelerated honors program at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He completed competitive training programs at New York Hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, followed by a fellowship in facial plastic surgery certified by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in California. He leads a JCAHO-accredited surgical suite on Manhattan's Park Avenue.

Recognition. Dr. Rizk is a RealSelf Top Doctor and has been named one of Castle Connolly's Best Doctors in the New York Metro Area for facial plastic surgery. Humanitarian Work. Dr. Rizk participates in the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery FACE TO FACE program, providing free reconstructive surgery to victims of domestic violence, individuals with congenital deformities, and those affected by war-related trauma. He serves as Chief Consultant Reconstructive Surgeon at Hospital 57357 in Cairo, Egypt, a nonprofit children's cancer hospital, and sits on the board of directors of the Little Baby Face Foundation, which provides corrective surgeries to children born with facial deformities.
