Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt officially called it quits in 2016, with Jolie filing for divorce in September of 2016. Though the pair was considered legally single in 2019, their divorce proceedings are still ongoing. Within these proceedings, there have been multiple accusations against Pitt by Jolie of child abuse and domestic violence.

In 2016, Pitt was investigated by the  Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services because of the accusation of child abuse in an instance on their private plane between Pitt and son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt. Pitt was cleared of the charges by Family Services but according to a source close to Pitt, they still kept a close eye on him over the next two years but there was nothing to substantiate the claim.

Now, on March 12, 2021, Jolie has filed court documents again accusing Pitt of domestic violence. She also claims that she has proof and that all six of their children are willing to offer “proof and authority in support,” with Maddox even being willing to testify against the movie star, reports US

Another source close to Pitt also reported to US saying that the claims were nothing but an attempt to hurt him. “Over the past four-and-a-half years, there have been a number of claims made by Angelina that have been reviewed and not substantiated. The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behavior. This leaking of documents by her fourth or fifth set of lawyers has been done to hurt Brad.”

The court case and divorce proceedings are ongoing.
