In one of the most recent lawsuits in Hollywood, a young woman has come forward and filed a suit with the LA Courts against stand-up comedian and “You” actor, Chris D’Elia. The lawsuit claims that he had sex and solicited pictures from the girl in 2014 when she was only 17 and he was 34.

The suit claims the two came into contact when the girl, named Jane Doe in the suit, reached out to D’Elia via Instagram, and he surprisingly responded. He allegedly began soliciting nude pictures from Jane and received as many as 100 from her over the next few months. He then invited her to one of his comedy shows and invited her up to his room beforehand where they had sex. According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe told D’Elia she was only 17 (with there also being numerous Instagram photos of her in high school and spirit week which D’Elia had commented on) to which he responded “hot.”

Jane Doe provided a statement to USA Today regarding the suit, saying, “Chris D’Elia abused his status and fame to lure me in, take advantage, and manipulate me when I was at a vulnerable age,” she continued. “I want any other girls out there to know that they are not alone, and it is time to get justice for the mental and physical toll he has put us through.”

D’Elia’s attorney maintains that his client is innocent and that he looks forward to defending him in court.

This suit comes just months after many women on Twitter accused him of the same behavior. One Twitter user alleged that D’Elia solicited explicit pictures from her even though he knew she was underage, and two others claimed that he exposed himself to them without their consent.

At the time, D’Elia posted a video where he denied the claims saying, “I know it looks bad and it doesn’t show the full scope of what happened. I stand by the fact that all my relationships have been consensual and legal and that’s just it. That’s the truth.”

The first round of accusations occurred after the second season of the popular Netflix show “You” came out, in which Chris D’Elia plays… a creepy guy abusing and soliciting explicit pictures from an underage girl.

Chris D’Elia was dropped by his agency, CAA, in 2020 after the allegations first surfaced.

We shall see how this suit plays out in the courts.
