With key formulations and ingredients, Lorenol Labs has designed skincare products for healing post-procedure skin at the source. <\/em><\/h3>\n

Laura Montry, founder of Lorenol Labs<\/a><\/span>, says that when she was coming up in the aesthetics industry, it was \u201can ugly open secret that many clients were getting damaged skin after laser treatments.\u201d Whether due to the technician\u2019s inexperience or the laser itself, customers were sometimes leaving with skin issues and no products for relief.<\/p>\n

Montry built Lorenol Labs to be that solution. Unlike most medical facilities that still use basic moisturizers after expensive treatments, Lorenol Labs provides patented, medical-grade products designed to address what is happening beneath the skin, where true healing needs to begin.<\/p>\n

The Beginning of Healing Beneath the Skin<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Montry worked with Thermolase in 1996, where she found her calling to address the healing process after expensive laser procedures and the damage they cause, such as scarring and hyperpigmentation.<\/p>\n

She consulted a biochemist and gained the knowledge to begin building Lorenol\u2019s products to treat the inflammatory process occurring beneath the skin post-treatment. Montry worked with former colleagues at Thermolase and a team of experts.<\/p>\n

The Dalton 500 Rule<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The basis of Lorenol\u2019s skincare products is healing skin after laser treatment, but they guided their formulation through deeper research. They followed the Dalton 500 rule in their formulation, noting that many skincare products have molecular weights too high to penetrate the skin barrier and address issues in most medical procedures.<\/p>\n

Additionally, this proposed issue leaves them unable to address inflammatory skin conditions.<\/p>\n

The Dalton 500<\/a><\/span> rule states that substances smaller than 500 kDa, with sufficient oil solubility and a high partition coefficient, can be absorbed through the skin. In contrast, however, larger molecules (molecular weight > 500 kDa) cannot pass the cutaneous barrier.<\/p>\n

Following this guideline, Lorenol Labs<\/a><\/span> says it has created the most effective, steroid-free, medical-grade ingredient-filled products.<\/p>\n

Ingredients for Inflammation Reduction and Skin Protection<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The products themselves include natural bioactives to address 5 inflammatory mediators present in the skin following medical and surgical procedures, likely specifically for the aesthetic-procedure clientele Montry worked with and continues to cater to with the company. In fact, Lorenol Labs offers a broader product line designed for a wide range of post-procedure, medical, and skin-condition care, including surgical procedures, Mohs surgery, injectable procedures, laser procedures, microdermabrasion, liquid nitrogen treatments, microneedling, tattooing, chemical peels, body sculpting, liposuction, pre- and post-radiation care, acne, eczema, rosacea, and anti-aging support such as pigmentation correction, non-irritating retinol, and vitamin C formulations.<\/p>\n

Next, the products include a cascade interruption, which contains antibacterial, antiviral, and antioxidant components that interrupt the \u201csignaling cascade\u201d of damaging inflammatory mediators triggered by procedures, burns, and inflammatory skin conditions.<\/p>\n

Lastly, Lorenol Labs uses sulforaphane, a broccoli seed-based ingredient, for UV protection, citing a 2007 study by Dr. Paul Talalay et al<\/a><\/span>. The study found that in six human subjects, three male and three female, erythema, which they were using to measure UV radiation in a non-damaging manner, was decreased.<\/p>\n

The Future for Lorenol Labs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lorenol Labs<\/a><\/span> currently serves medical spas, plastic surgery centers, and dermatology offices with their products. Still, the company hopes to build awareness around what good skincare requires, educating consumers about what they put on their skin.<\/p>\n

At Lorenol, they believe it is not the expensive ingredients that make the most effective changes to the skin, but following the science and making changes accordingly that build the efficacy of quality ingredients.<\/p>\n
