Fast forward a few decades (and a few rounds in the boxing ring), and the once-smooth leading man is nearly unrecognizable yet just as captivating.<\/p>\n

Now making headlines from inside the Celebrity Big Brother house, Rourke\u2019s ever-evolving appearance has reignited chatter about his long and public journey with cosmetic surgery. But in true Mickey fashion, he's never shied away from the truth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went to the wrong guy to put my face back together,\u201d he admitted candidly in a 2009 interview, an honesty rare in Hollywood\u2019s botox-and-whisper circles. After suffering multiple facial injuries during his brief boxing career, the Iron Man 2 star underwent a series of reconstructive surgeries, including five operations on his nose and one on a smashed cheekbone (ouch).<\/p>\n
