Greatest achievement:<\/h3>\n

Becoming a board member of my nonprofit organization, Healing Hands Abroad<\/a>,<\/strong> and all the volunteer surgical mission work that we have done in developing countries over the past 10 years is my greatest achievement. It means a lot to me to be able to use my experience and training in this way.<\/p>\n

The future of your field?<\/h3>\n

As a plastic surgeon, I believe my field is at the forefront of progress in surgery. I think tissue engineering will be the future of plastic and reconstructive surgery. New organs may be grown in a lab and then transferred to the patient. Organ donors and specific blood type matches will become obsolete. There has been significant progress in this field and the technology will only improve.<\/p>\n

Biggest misconception about your field:<\/h3>\n

I think the biggest misconception is that you will look unnatural after Botox and\/or filler. In my opinion, the best injectable result is the one that people say you look amazing, but they can't tell if something was actually done. It\u2019s a slippery slope when it comes to injectables. Sometimes less is more. A natural result is always preferred over an \u201coverdone\u201d look.<\/p>\n
