Certified \u2018it\u2019 girl Emily Ratajkowski (also known as Em Rata to her 29 million Instagram followers) is kind of having a moment. Recently stepping into her single-girl era, the model is making major waves. From a chart-rising podcast to becoming the new face of <\/span>K\u00e9rastase<\/b><\/a> the mom of one seems to do it all while remaining flawless. Lucky for us, Ratajkowski chatted with <\/span>Vogue Beauty<\/b><\/a> and let us in on the products and self-care rituals she uses to keep herself looking and feeling her best.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to starting her day, the author is typically woken up by her son, who she tends to before beginning her skincare routine. She tells Vogue, \u201cIn my early twenties, I was just like, \u2018I\u2019m not dealing with this,\u2019 but now I put on sunscreen, use toner, and moisturizer. I have a whole routine.\u201d Her dreamy hair is another topic of conversation and one she surprisingly says has never been her expertise. \u201cI have relatively new bangs. I always say \u2013 even off the record \u2013 that K\u00e9rastase really did change my hair. When I signed [to be an ambassador] with them about five years ago, I didn\u2019t know about good hair products and while I\u2019m actually pretty decent at make-up, I\u2019m not great at hair. I always just thought that I had bad hair and that\u2019s what it was. What\u2019s great is that now I don\u2019t have to do much to my hair because it\u2019s all in the care and maintenance. I love the Extensionist line because it makes my hair grow really fast! I\u2019m somebody whose hair gets to a certain point and then breaks, but with that shampoo, it gets to a longer point. I also really love the oil \u2013 it\u2019s lightweight and smells amazing,\u201d she shares.<\/span><\/p>\n

For skincare, the model uses a specific number of products to keep her face looking fresh, \u201cI wash my face every night \u2013 well, I try to. I use <\/span>Bioderma<\/b><\/a> \u2013 it\u2019s a French drugstore product that\u2019s an amazing makeup remover. It\u2019s the only one that just gets it done and doesn\u2019t feel like it leaves something on your skin, or dries it out. When I\u2019ve washed my face, then I use <\/span>Biologique Recherche P50<\/b><\/a> \u2013 some people don\u2019t love it, but I am somebody for whom retinol is too extreme,\u00a0 so P50 is a happy medium. It balances my skin and I layer it with a pretty thick moisturizer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for her pharmacy favorites, \u201cAs well as Bioderma, I love <\/span>Biafine<\/b><\/a> \u2013 it\u2019s a moisturizer. It\u2019s so good. One time I really burned \u2013 I had crazy, crazy sunburn \u2013 and that was the only thing that healed it. I also love <\/span>Aquaphor<\/b><\/a>, another amazing product. I also feel like drugstore makeup gets a bad rap, but I think it\u2019s really good. I have some amazing highlighters and bits that are so great. Plus my friend works in make-up development and she\u2019s like, \u201cI\u2019m telling you, they all come from the same factories \u2013 it\u2019s just the packaging!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For rituals that help her relax and switch off? The model credits TikTok for this one. \u201cI watch an hour of TikTok \u2013 that\u2019s how I switch off! There is nothing else that feels more entertaining or relaxing for me. My algorithm goes crazy for one sound so right now I\u2019m all about the \u2018Sbagliato.\u2019 I also love when people do story times, where they say \u2018one thing about me\u2019 and go into a story. I will watch three minutes of those, and then go for part two. TikTok doesn\u2019t feel like social media. It\u2019s like Netflix or Hulu, not like Instagram, and I have learned a lot. It\u2019s funny and makes me feel good about human beings.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She leaves us with one parting tip\u2026 her secret to a well-lived life? \u201cTapping into my instincts and connecting to them.
