Though you may have never heard of the word \u201cglabella,\u201d you definitely know what it is. In fact, your glabella could be your biggest concern. Still stumped? Here\u2019s a hint: it\u2019s a close friend of your frown lines. The glabella is a smooth region of the forehead located above and between the eyebrows, and hyperactive movement of the muscles in this region is what causes the vertical frown lines between your eyebrows. Oddly enough, glabella lines are not the same as frown lines! How They Form<\/span><\/h3>\n

As you age, the collagen bonds that give your face its structure become less defined. Repeated facial expressions, like furrowing your brow, can change the texture and shape of skin over time. Depending on a number of factors like face shape, skin tightness, genetics, and how often you make certain expressions, you may notice wrinkles that look like wavy lines starting to develop. Note that the main difference between these wavy glabella lines and frown lines is that frown lines are vertical, while glabella lines are more horizontal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
