Jennifer Garner is forever exuding a sense of happiness and joy and at the age of 50, and she sees no signs of slowing down or aging for that matter. So what exactly keeps the actress looking like she\u2019s not a day over 25? Garner relies on a few beauty products and some more tips, which she recently shared with <\/span>Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/b><\/a>. Keep reading to get the inside scoop.<\/span><\/p>\n

When it gets cooler, Jen is sure to add the proper products to her routine. \u201cIt\u2019s just more moisture and more moisture. Things get a little thicker and heavier and yummier. It\u2019s about keeping moisture in your skin and making sure your cells are tuning over as much as you can. I\u2019ve been a fan of <\/span>Neutrogena\u2019s Retinol Pro+ Serum<\/b><\/a> for a long time, and this year they added an <\/span>eye cream<\/b><\/a>, and that\u2019s my big new takeaway. That and the <\/span>face cream<\/b><\/a>. On my retinol nights, I do all three. That\u2019s making a huge difference, because after the summer you\u2019ve got to brighten your skin back up,\u201d she shares.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Garner goes into how exactly she keeps her skin comfortable and hydrated since living in a dry place like Southern California. \u201cEvery other night I use this whole retinol regimen, and it really does make a huge difference, and I use it all the way. Part of what\u2019s great about falling in love with a drugstore product is that you can use them lavishly. I use it on my decolletage, my neck, the sides of my neck, my face, and the back of my hands. Then, I do this eye cream. I was nervous about using retinol around my eye, but I\u2019ve worked with Neutrogena for 15 years. I trust their science, and ophthalmologists say it\u2019s okay. So I\u2019m good to go. I have noticed a difference. It erases the harshness of the new lines I have around my eyes. On the other nights, I really love hyaluronic acid. Especially like you said in California, you need to add hydration. Hyaluronic acid is great, because it recruits your own skin\u2019s moisture and brings it right to the surface to give you a plumpness. Plump skin is young skin. During the day I use <\/span>Hydro Boost with SPF 50<\/b><\/a>. You have to wear sunscreen year-round, and this moisturizer gets it all out of the way while you\u2019re plumping your skin. It\u2019s a no-brainer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She puts a lot of faith in retinol when it comes to her must-haves, \u201cRetinol is part of my routine. I\u2019m 50 now, so that\u2019s a part of the deal. Hyaluronic acid is part of my routine no matter what, and so is a gentle cleanser. I\u2019m very serious about cleaning your skin before bed. You cannot go to bed with makeup on. If I\u2019m working and I have a lot of makeup on, at the end of the day, I will use the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes to soften everything on my eyes so I don\u2019t have to scrub that area. Then I\u2019ll go back and wash my face.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And recently turning 50? She feels better than ever. Garner says, \u201cWhat surprised me is that I don\u2019t feel 50. I feel great. It\u2019s this number that hangs out in front of you forever. I\u2019ll hear other people who are in their 20s say, \u2018Oh, well she\u2019s like, 50.\u2019 And I think, Oh, my gosh, I\u2019m 50 and I\u2019m totally cool. You don\u2019t even know yet, but it\u2019s going to be great! I don\u2019t mind that my kids think I\u2019m a dork. Things just don\u2019t bother me in the same way. You kind of have a little more perspective on things.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
