It\u2019s no secret that Kimberly is in incredible shape; from sharing clips of her 6 am workouts to her 332 million followers on her <\/span>Instagram<\/b><\/a> to being vocal about her sometimes vegan diet on her family\u2019s <\/span>new Hulu show<\/b><\/a>, the Kardashian seems to always be putting her health first to keep up with her famous physique. When it comes to the mogul\u2019s ultra-toned stomach, she let her followers in on her latest asset, the InMode Morpheus8, a minimally invasive treatment, to tighten her abs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kardashian shared to her Instagram stories a photo of her bare abs getting the treatment, captioning, \u201cThis is a game changer! I did Morpheus laser to tighten my stomach. I think this is my fave laser but it\u2019s painful lol but worth it!\u201d She tagged Los Angeles-based celebrity plastic surgeon <\/span>Ashkan Ghavami, MD<\/b><\/a>. <\/span>Elle<\/b><\/a> spoke with Ashkan and New York City-based dermatologist <\/span>Michelle Henry, MD<\/b><\/a>, for all the details on the icon\u2019s ab tightener.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashkan says after Kim posted about the treatment their searches spiked, but people are still apprehensive, \u201cSurprisingly, we have found that patients are a bit more cautious and do a lot more research prior to contracting us. There is no gimmick here. [Kardashian] trusts our recommendations and treatments so much that she actually decided to film herself having a Morpheus8 done in our office without us knowing that she took photos during her session. She felt so great about her Morpheus8 results in our office that she was candid with her followers and decided to share her experience.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Morpheus8 combines microneedling and radio frequency to contour and tone both the face and body, create a smoother and tighter appearance, and is safe for all skin tones. \u201cMorpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production of the underlying layers of the dermis. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, tissues of the face and body can be remodeled to reveal a more radiant, youthful appearance,\u201d says Dr. Henry. The use of microneedling assists in the treatment's efficiency and the healing process, \u201cBecause there are micropins that are penetrating the skin, it creates micro lesions that heal faster than traditional methods of skin resurfacing,\u201d adds Dr. Henry.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are a number of benefits when it comes to using this treatment. \u201c[The treatment] stimulates the products of collagen and resurfaces skin to discover a younger-looking appearance,\u201d Dr. Henry explains. Aside from abs, this treatment is popular in many other areas. \u201cI have found that Morpheus8 has helped with textural issues, minimizing pore size, tightening and lifting skin, and even smoothing tone and color in some patients,\u201d says Dr. Ghavami.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The results are almost instant. \u201cThis specific treatment is especially popular because most patients see a visible difference from just one treatment, whereas other treatments may take a series of three to six treatments to see a visible improvement. The downtime is also minimal, with less than one to two days for most [people],\u201d says Dr. Ghavami.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Kim called the treatment painful, Morpheus8 has fewer side effects. Dr. Henry says, \u201cNumbing cream or injections are used when applicable. With numbing cream, it is usually tolerable at moderate energies but may be slightly uncomfortable depending on your tolerance. With numbing injections, it is very well tolerated even at the highest energies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
