Jennifer Aniston<\/b>, her secret to looking flawless (and 25 at all times, might we add) is unbeknownst to many, but one we\u2019ll die trying to find out. Consider this article our first attempt.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 53-year-old actress is not shy when it comes to her work ethic. Recently, she\u2019s taken on a number of new roles, specifically in the wellness space. In 2020, she began her role as Chief Creative Officer at supplement company<\/span> Vital Proteins<\/b><\/a>. Why VP? Anniston chatted with <\/span>Byrdie<\/a><\/strong> on what exactly drew her to team up with the brand \u2013 turns out she\u2019s a longstanding fan of their products, \u201cThey\u2019re a great team of people, and I love working with them. I\u2019ve been using Vital Proteins collagen powder since 2014, and I love it.\u201d According to Jen, the benefits of collagen are like no other, \u201cMany people are unaware that you can ingest collagen, and as we get older, we start losing our collagen \u2013 we take it for granted when we\u2019re in our twenties. My doctor recommended it to me as an addition to my diet, and I started putting it in my coffee once he promised me that it wouldn\u2019t change the taste of my coffee.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Since joining the team, she\u2019s launched her own set of healthy options for us mere mortals to enjoy:<\/span> Jennifer Aniston Protein and Collagen Bars<\/b><\/a>. Forever an advocate for living healthy, Aniston took her role at Vital Proteins extremely seriously. She tells Byrdie that when making her bars, she was constantly taste testing to get it right, \u201cWhen I was taste-testing a bunch of their products, I tried the bars they had, and they were too big, a little chewy, and didn\u2019t taste great. I asked if we could work on perfecting this bar because I love protein bars. They\u2019re one of my go-to snacks, and it\u2019s hard to find a good one that doesn\u2019t have a weird aftertaste or a high sugar content.\u201d The star goes on to share exactly how they came to be, \u201cSo I made my shake one day, putting my maca powder and cinnamon, and said: <\/span>Why can\u2019t we make the bars have these ingredients for added nutrition? <\/span><\/i>The Vital Proteins team said,<\/span> \u201cGreat, let\u2019s do it.\u201d <\/span><\/i>They would send me packages of different bars, and we would taste-test them. Sometimes they were too sweet, sometimes there was a coating that had an aftertaste \u2013 it was basically about perfecting it, and I think we nailed it. I have friends who hate protein bars, and everybody unanimously loves them.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lucky for us, Jennifer shares a few more wellness tips and tricks, \u201cWhat we put into our bodies is important. I used to eat mindlessly, and I never used to read packages or gave a hoot about what I was putting in [my body]. I\u2019m much more mindful about what I eat and conscious of my ingredients. I try to practice balance by eating a proper amount of protein, vegetables, and water and exercising. These are staples I live by.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to Aniston's morning routine, thankfully, it\u2019s a simple one, \u201cI wake up; I meditate, I walk the dogs \u2013 usually, my dogs meditate with me, which is adorable. They fall sound asleep right next to me. After that, I work out, wash my face, and start the day.\u201d And her beauty routine? Even more simple, \u201cIt\u2019s pretty basic: I wash my face with<\/span> Aveeno face wash<\/b><\/a>, use serums, and keep things simple. For summer, I\u2019ve decided to lean into my natural curls and the<\/span> LolaVie products<\/b><\/a> I\u2019ve been using. I also try to get 10 or 15 minutes a day of sunshine.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
