Everyone strives to have white, shiny teeth. Now to achieve this goal, a few things are required. Whether that be keeping up with our daily dental hygiene routine or using whitening treatments, there are options available at your disposal.<\/p>\n

Most of the time, when one sees that their teeth are turning yellow, they run to the store shelves and buy at-home whitening strips for a \"quick fix.\" Unfortunately, what is not noted is that sometimes, whitening strips don't cut it and your teeth won't reach peak whiteness. When this is the case, what's next? Here Haute Beauty sat down with Haute Beauty expert Dr. Troy Pearce<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to discuss his recommendations.<\/p>\n

Haute Beauty: What whitening strips do you find the most effective?<\/h3>\n

Dr. Troy Pearce:<\/strong> Crest Professional 3D White Strips are great! They are stronger and there are more strips in each box.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

HB:\u00a0How often should you use at-home whitening strips?<\/h3>\n

TP:<\/strong> Using these products is recommended for daily use. I would not recommend a regimen any less than every other day.<\/p>\n

HB: What in-office whitening method do you find the most effective?<\/h3>\n

TP:<\/strong>\u00a0We recommend KoR whitening. It has a unique active ingredient only available from KoR and is packaged and shipped in a refrigerated container which stabilizes the product and prevents weakening. We also provide each patient with a special desensitizing product that eliminates the number one complaint from whitening procedures.<\/p>\n

HB: How many in-office whitening treatments are needed?<\/h3>\n

TP:<\/strong> Usually, one in-office teeth whitening<\/strong> <\/a>treatment is needed unless there is a heavy stain. In this case, we may do two treatments.<\/p>\n

HB: If someone is not able to make their teeth as white as desired, what are the next steps?<\/h3>\n

TP:<\/strong> Whitening can only accomplish so much. Porcelain veneers<\/strong><\/a> are a permanent option that can achieve any color you desire.<\/p>\n

HB: Why would teeth not reach peak whiteness?<\/h3>\n

TP:<\/strong> If a patient has spotting in coloration it can be difficult to attain a homogeneous coloration by whitening. Also if there is prior dental work like bonding or porcelain crowns or veneers in the esthetic zone, the whitening may need to accompany replacement of that dental work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
