The first thing that comes to mind when you think of concierge telemedicine is the cost associated with it. As true as that might be, the pretty penny people used to pay for personalized care and direct access to a doctor has become more affordable over time.<\/p>\n

Concierge telemedicine is a service in which doctors provide direct care to patients in exchange for an upfront fee, usually paid monthly. Oftentimes the concierge doctors are physicians who decided to veer away from the traditional office practice and enter a form of private practice - allowing for a limited amount of patients and fewer insurance payouts. They can provide all the same services as a primary care physician such as medical management, lab tests and review, mental health, and management of diabetes, hypothyroidism, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and more. However, they can not provide specialized treatments or perform major surgeries.<\/p>\n

As of late, telemedicine practices have seen an influx of people and it's not a direct result of the underlying costs (although it has made it more accessible to the greater population). Haute Beauty sat down with Haute MD expert Dr. Vineet Sandhu to find out the additional benefits on-demand healthcare offers to its end-user and why it's currently growing in popularity. My field has continued to grow tremendously and I can thank the many benefits of concierge telemedicine for that. On the patient's end, it offers a relaxed waiting room, less time filling out information and secure video visits. For me as a doctor, I have been able to access my patient's schedules while I'm on the go, which gives me the opportunity to tend to my patients regardless of mine or their whereabouts.\u00a0The benefits go far beyond that, including:<\/p>\n
