The powerful voice of Cynthia Erivo<\/a><\/strong> was enough to command the attention of every audience member at the 92nd Academy Awards, but her electrifying portrayal as \u201cHarriet\u201d in the 2019 biopic stapled this 34-year-old actress as one of the most talented stars to grace the Hollywood limelight in the past decade \u2014 at least, we confidently believe so. But looking past her extraordinary accomplishments, Erivo\u2019s just a humble skincare enthusiast who loves bold eye makeup and keeping her appearance fresh. In a recent segment of <\/span>Vogue\u2019s Beauty Secrets<\/a><\/strong>, she demonstrated her extensive skincare routine and go-to bronze glam.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To prep her canvas, Erivo cleansed and exfoliated. On top of that, her Bioderma Sensibio H20 removed any excess dirt. She followed with a calming toner, sheet mask and serum. But then she took it up a notch by massaging in the products with a microcurrent tool. A vitamin c serum, hydration serum and eye cream ensued. Finally, she moisturized and applied sunscreen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To commence her \u201call-brown\u201d look, Erivo mixed two Dior foundations to match her skin tone before opening up to Vogue about her \u201cinteresting moments\u201d with makeup artists: \u201cI remember I was doing this like charity gala thing\u2026 and when I went to sit at this makeup artist\u2019s table, she said I didn\u2019t need any makeup. And I asked her if she had my shades, and she had to admit that she didn\u2019t bring any of my shades out, or she didn\u2019t bring any shades for darker skin tones at all\u2026 I just remember feeling really sort of forgotten about.\u201d For that reason, Erivo said she feels lucky to see the beauty industry change to include makeup for darker skin tones.<\/span><\/p>\n

After concealing and powdering, Erivo brushed a Fenty Beauty bronzer over the crease of her eyes before adding more hues from the Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette. Interestingly, she swapped a chestnut lip pencil for eyeliner. Then she daubed a blond brow gel on her bleached brows, glazed mascara over her lashes, and dusted contour and highlighter on her cheeks. Finally, she used the same chestnut colored pencil \u2014 a spare lip liner to actually use on the lips \u2014 on her pout before adding lipstick and gloss.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
