Aging, sun damage, and environmental factors all leave their marks on our faces in the way of wrinkles, deep creases, sagging cheeks, jowls, and loose neck skin. This loss of definition can affect the way you see yourself, which in turn affects the way you present yourself to others in professional and social situations. Facelift surgery,<\/strong><\/a> also known as rhytidectomy, targets noticeable aging on the lower and middle sections of the face.<\/p>\n

Ideal candidates for facelift surgery experience moderate to severe signs of facial and neck aging. These signs include deep facial creases, jowls, sagging cheeks, and neck banding. While this is an outpatient procedure, you should have someone drive you home and stay with you for the first night. You may experience tightness, numbness, swelling, and bruising in the first few days after surgery. Bandages, coverings, and cold compresses will help minimize any swelling, and oral antibiotics can remedy any discomfort. Keeping your head elevated will also help minimize swelling and promote healing.<\/p>\n

HB: What are the benefits of fat grafting during a facelift procedure?<\/h3>\n

When it comes to #facialrejuvenation surgeries, lifting is not the only thing to consider; you may want more fullness and contour to the face.\u00a0Nowadays, many plastic surgeons use fat grafting as part of their facelift surgery to improve the results and achieve a more youthful look for their patients.<\/p>\n

As is the regular process with a fat transfer, the fat will be removed with #liposuction and injected into your face. This will produce a natural look with little risk of rejection or infection. Usually, the fat is injected between the nose and lips, between the chin and lips, under the eyes, cheeks, and sagging jaws.<\/p>\n
