Amy B. Lewis, M.D.<\/strong><\/a> graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She then received her Medical Degree, with the highest honors, from the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Lewis then moved to the New York area for a medical internship at Cornell\/New York Hospital and completed her Dermatology residency at Downstate Medical Center as Chief Resident. She returned to Yale for a fellowship in Dermatological Laser and Reconstructive Surgery. After completing this specialized training, Dr. Lewis began working in private practice, while also performing several clinical studies pioneering Dermatological lasers at the Washington Institute for Dermatological Laser Surgery. She then settled in Manhattan, where she has built a premier private practice specializing in Cosmetic and Laser dermatology. <\/em><\/p>\n

As an avid scuba diver, I enjoyed traveling the world exploring the treasures and history offered by the different oceans. While travel abroad has stopped, diving in local waters has been a welcome substitute.<\/p>\n

Covid and the \u201cnew normal\u201d of 2020 gifted me with lessons in flexibility and creativity.<\/p>\n

I have been able to create new ways to be productive and cultivate overall wellness. Having my three daughters back home reminded me how special it is to have that time together. I spent more time with my elderly mother, who was trapped inside with COVID fears. We did puzzles, talked, and I was thrilled to introduce her to new phenomena called Netflix and Hulu!<\/p>\n

I appreciate knowing when to work a little harder or longer days, and when to ease up. As challenging as it has been to re-open after the shutdown, the constant change has made me appreciate what I took for granted in the past. I am grateful for the pleasures of my work, and the company of family and friends.<\/p>\n
