Dr. Sachin M. Over the course of the pandemic, we\u2019ve surprisingly seen an all-time high in patients seeking surgical procedures, ranging from facelifts to significant body contouring procedures. This phenomenon could be tied to social distancing measures which have decreased travel for work or personal reasons, limited social interactions, and allowed for more flexibility to work from home, creating a unique opportunity for patients to undergo surgical procedures and take the time they need to recover in the privacy and comfort of their homes. Our practice has also seen a surge in demand for non-surgical treatments, especially injectables. With the recent launch of QWO, the world's first injectable treatment for cellulite, we've seen a huge surge of interest from patients in these skin-smoothing, dimple-eliminating treatments.<\/p>\n

What non-invasive procedures have been in demand with your patients?<\/h3>\n

Since QWO's launch, earlier this year as the world's first injectable cellulite treatment, cellulite-targeting, and skin-smoothing procedures have been all the rage with our patients. We\u2019ve also been seeing more patients request non-surgical chin and jawline contouring procedures using injectable dermal fillers and Kybella.<\/p>\n

Following a thorough consult and assessment, individualized treatment plans are curated to target the unique nuances of each patient\u2019s anatomy and create even better aesthetic results. With the approach of bikini season, non-surgical buttocks rejuvenation treatments have become increasingly popular in recent months. Using QWO to smooth over any cellulite and skin dimpling irregularities and Sculptra to volumize and contour the shape of the buttocks has been a perfect partnership for non-surgical buttock rejuvenation.<\/p>\n

These are key factors in creating high-quality results. LUXURGERY was fortunate enough to be involved in three of QWO's clinical trials, so we've worked with the product long enough to see amazing improvements in skin dimpling irregularities and cellulite reduction.<\/p>\n

What surgical procedures have been in demand with your patients?<\/h3>\n

We've been seeing a lot of surgical patients seeking body contouring procedures. More specifically, we've been using a lot of Renuvion (J-Plasma) with our liposuction cases or as a stand-alone treatment for patients seeking skin tightening with less aggressive and invasive excisional procedures.<\/p>\n

How have you seen the medical aesthetics industry evolve over the past decade?<\/h3>\n

A decade ago? Easy. Many of the treatments that we know and love today, didn't even exist ten years ago. It\u2019s an incredible time to be in aesthetics with the introduction of new technologies that have novel capacities to treat complex aesthetic issues with minimal scar footprint on the body.
