Kybella is the first non-surgical and only FDA approved injectable to reduce fat underneath the chin. While surgery has been the traditional standard for eliminating fat under the chin, there are now new non-surgical options such as Kybella.<\/p>\n

HB: How do the treatments work?<\/h3>\n

Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring product in the body that breaks down dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA\u00ae<\/sup><\/span> destroys fat cells for good, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Kybella normally requires three treatments done every 4-6 weeks. Improvements continue for up to six months after the injections and the results are long-lasting.<\/p>\n

Swelling, bruising, and numbness are common side effects of Kybella, but these are temporary and will resolve soon after your treatment. Most swelling usually peaks at around two to three days after but then subsides. Every additional treatment will cause less inflammation as your body acclimatizes to the procedures and establishes a higher tolerance.<\/p>\n
