Dr. Adarsh Vijay Mudgil<\/strong> is one of few dermatologists to be board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology; this gives him a unique understanding of skin disease and allows him to approach patient care from both a clinical and cellular perspective. He treats patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, and is versed in all aspects of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Mudgil received his bachelor's degree with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Emory University and his medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He was among a handful of medical students nationwide to have been awarded a coveted Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship and Scholarship. Through this funding, he conducted nationally recognized research focused on the pathogenesis of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. He completed his residency in dermatology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship at the prestigious Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology.<\/p>\n

Haute MD Expert Cardiologist Dr. Kevin Coy<\/strong> joins Heaute Beauty for the first Haute MD Zoom Webinar. Dr. Kevin Coy<\/a>\u00a0received his medical training at the University of Florida where he graduated with honors in research and then pursued his cardiology fellowship at the respected University of California Los Angeles \u2013 Cedars-Sinai Program. Dr. Coy has presented papers both nationally and internationally and has established cardiac programs throughout the Caribbean. At Doctor\u2019s Hospital in Nassau, the Bahamas, Dr. Coy performed the first cardiac catheterizations and angioplasty procedures as well as developed the cardiac catheterization program. Dr. Coy has served as a visiting teacher throughout the Caribbean, including the University of the West Indies. He has participated in training his colleagues in various Caribbean islands such as the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands and Curacao. Dr. Coy is currently licensed to practice medicine in the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands. After completing his cardiology fellowship, he trained with the pioneers of angioplasty at the San Francisco Heart Institute (Dr. Richard Myler and Dr. Simon Stertzer).<\/p>\n

Dr. Neda Shamie and Dr. Robert Moloney,\u00a0Maloney-Shamie Vision Institute<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Neda Shamie<\/strong> is a renowned LASIK, cataract, and corneal surgeon and partner of the Maloney-Shamie Vision Institute in Los Angeles. \u00a0She previously was the Medical Director of the Doheny Eye Institute and is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the USC Keck School of Medicine.<\/p>\n

Dr. Shamie graduated Summa Cum Laude with high honors from UCLA and obtained her medical degree from UCSF School of Medicine. \u00a0She completed her residency and fellowship training in corneal and laser refractive surgery at UC Irvine where she also served as Director of the Corneal Service. Soon thereafter she joined the Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon, where together with Dr. Mark Terry, they spearheaded many projects and advances in the field of lamellar corneal transplantation with emphasis on endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK and DMEK).<\/p>\n

Dr. Robert K. Maloney, MA (Oxon)<\/strong>, is a former Rhodes Scholar and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Harvard University. He completed his education at Oxford University and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Maloney was the first surgeon in western North America to perform LASIK surgery as part of the original FDA clinical trials. He is Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at UCLA and managing partner of the Maloney-Shamie Vision Institute, in Los Angeles, California. Voted by his peers as one of America\u2019s top ten vision-correction specialists in a nationwide survey conducted by Ophthalmology Times, Dr. Maloney has trained more than 1,000 surgeons in the use of the excimer laser and has personally performed more than 65,000 vision-correction surgeries.<\/p>\n
