Over 10 years ago, Australian-born Miranda Kerr founded a self-funded skincare line called KORA Organics<\/a>, from which she has seen a lot of success, given its proven results and high efficacy rate. With one of the most clear and radiant complexions in the industry, launching a skincare line seemed like a natural progression for the supermodel, whose company continues to grow, most recently with the launch of its Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum<\/a>. To celebrate the new product, Miranda Kerr hosted a slew of her celebrity friends at Smog Shoppe in Los Angeles, including Sofia Richie, Olivia Munn<\/a>, Stella Maxwell and more. Here, I sit down with Kerr to discuss all things KORA Organics, including why she chose to get into the highly saturated skincare space, and even her own skincare routine, so you can have supermodel-ready skin like hers, too.<\/p>\n

\nMiranda Kerr:<\/strong> KORA Organics products are toxin-free, cruelty-free and formulated with highly-active, certified organic ingredients that deliver powerful results.\u00a0I really believe that healthy skin is the most beautiful skin; so, you need to feed with the right antioxidants and nutrients to be healthy, glowing and radiant\u2026not with chemical laden products that deliver temporary results and can be harmful for your health. KORA Organics has helped people realize that organic products can deliver incredibly powerful\u00a0results. We receive testimonials from around the world on a daily basis about how our products are making a difference to people\u2019s skin, health and confidence and our consumer study results speak for themselves. Being at the forefront of the global clean beauty movement is an achievement I\u2019m very proud of. My dream is for KORA Organics to become a household name and for people to choose a healthier alternative both for themselves and for the environment.<\/p>\n

DM:<\/strong> Why was it important for you to get involved in the skincare space, especially when the market is saturated with so many different lines and celebrity endorsements?<\/strong>
\nMK:<\/strong> I created KORA Organics over 10 years ago. It was initially just in Australia until we started to expand internationally in 2017. I got into the organic skincare space because I was looking for products that were\u00a0certified organic and delivered results, but I was unable to find anything that really worked; so, I decided to create my own range.\u00a0It\u2019s important to note that I\u2019m not just the face of KORA Organics\u2014it\u2019s\u00a0owned\u00a0and self-funded by me.\u00a0I\u2019m across all [of the] the day-to-day operations from product development, marketing, packaging\u2026etc.\u00a0It\u2019s my vision, my passion\u2026my life!<\/p>\n

I knew I wanted the range to be certified organic\u2014this is\u00a0something I feel very passionate about because what you put on your skin soaks into your bloodstream.\u00a0Using certified organic ingredients naturally creates more powerful skincare\u00a0because\u00a0certified organic ingredients contain\u00a0higher antioxidant\u00a0levels; therefore, they produce more potent and powerful results than non-organic\u00a0skincare, or even \u201cclean\u201d skincare for that matter. Certified organic is also \u201cclean\u201d but even more powerful because of the high antioxidant levels in the organic ingredients used.<\/p>\n

Initially I was just passionate about creating the products I wanted to use myself, and it grew from there. It all started from a very authentic place but once I had created KORA Organics\u2014I worked for two years on the research and development\u2014and I saw firsthand the results the products were achieving. I wanted to share them with the world because back then in 2009 there were very few natural and organic brands readily available and I thought if I\u2019m looking for these products, the likelihood is that so are many other people.<\/p>\n

DM: How is KORA Organics different from other organic skincare lines on the market?<\/strong>
\nMK:<\/strong> KORA Organics is certified by the\u00a0world\u2019s leading\u00a0international certification body ECOCERT Greenlife\u00a0(founding member of\u00a0COSMOS-standard AISBL<\/a>),<\/em>\u00a0which is the most heavily regulated ingredient system and guarantees no toxic and synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals are used in production of ingredients or in manufacturing. There is a lot of\u00a0greenwashing\u00a0out there in the beauty industry because it is unregulated. Brands can claim to be natural or organic by just having one or two natural or organic ingredients. Having the certification gives our brand integrity. Our customers have the assurance that they are getting exactly what they are paying for: honest, healthy, non- toxic, certified organic products that deliver visible results.\u00a0We work with the best organic chemists in the world and are thrilled to be the only fully certified organic brand Sephora<\/a> carries.<\/p>\n

There are three other key points that sets KORA Organics apart from other skincare lines:<\/p>\n

Noni is the key ingredient and used in every product throughout the range. It\u2019s a super fruit that my grandmother introduced to me when I was 13 years old and I\u2019ve been using it daily ever since.\u00a0It contains over 100 vitamins and minerals and is full of\u2014I really feel it\u2019s been the key to my health and vitality over the years.<\/p>\n

I added the unique vibrations of Rose Quartz to all of the products because I personally believe in the healing and protective powers of crystals. Rose Quartz carries a soothing energy to encourage love and acceptance of ourselves and others. During the compounding process of our skincare products, the entire formula is touched upon by Rose Quartz, so the vibration of self-love flows through the crystals, into the products and onto our customers.<\/p>\n

Because I believe positive thoughts create positive energy vibrations within the body, we have adopted the principles of Dr.\u00a0Masaru Emoto\u2019s work by applying positive words on the back of each of our products. Our intent in doing this is that the vibrational energy of the word has a positive effect on the user and can inspire positivity.<\/p>\n

Our products are not only healthy to use and of the highest quality, integrity and efficacy\u2014they also aim to inspire and uplift customers.<\/p>\n

I apply the Noni Night Serum in the evening on my face, neck and d\u00e9collet\u00e9 after I\u2019ve cleansed and mist my skin and before I apply my moisturizer Noni Radiant Eye Oil and Noni Glow Face Oil.\u00a0I\u2019ve been using the Noni Night\u00a0AHA\u00a0Resurfacing Serum every night for the last few months and my skin feels amazing. My pores look smaller, my pigmentation spots are almost gone, and my skin feels super smooth. I\u2019m absolutely loving this product.<\/p>\n

DM: What products do you use from KORA Organics to maintain such healthy, clear and radiant skin?
\nMK:<\/strong> I use KORA Organics on myself and my entire family. My husband [CEO of Snap Evan Spiegel<\/a>] loves the products, especially the Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask and Noni Glow Face Oil.\u00a0I use the Body Wash, Body Lotion and Body Balm and Face Balm on my three sons.<\/p>\n

I like to keep my skincare routine simple and clean. In the morning I use\u00a0the KORA Organics Foaming Cleanser; it\u2019s a soap-free cleanser containing\u00a0Noni Extract, Green Tea and Aloe to gently cleanse without drying or stripping the skin of its natural oils. After cleansing I use the Energizing Citrus Mist\u00a0to tone my skin and then I apply the Noni Bright Vitamin C Serum, which brightens your skin, and helps with pigmentation, before applying the Noni Radiant Eye Oil.\u00a0Then I add a few drops of Noni Glow Face Oil to a few pumps of the Hydrating Moisturizer and apply over my face, neck and d\u00e9colletage.<\/p>\n

In the evenings I double cleanse using the Cream Cleanser\u2014it\u2019s very nourishing and soothing on the skin as it contains\u00a0Aloe Vera, Avocado and Macadamia Nut Oil. I swap out the Energising Mist for the Calming Lavender Mist (I also spritz this on my pillow before going to sleep), apply 1-2 pumps of the Noni Night AHA Serum and then follow with the remainder of my\u00a0routine\u00a0(Noni Radiant Eye Oil, Noni Glow Face Oil and Hydrating Cream).<\/p>\n

DM: If you had to choose only one product from your KORA Organics skincare line to recommend to someone who has never used the products before, which one would it be and why?<\/strong>
\nMK: It would have the be two\u2026 they go hand in hand and really transform your skin. The Exfoliating & Brightening 2:1 Turmeric Mask\u2014I\u2019m obsessed with exfoliating and face masks\u2026the peppermint aromatherapy is so invigorating and uplifting, especially in the mornings! And the Noni Glow Face Oil\u2014our signature product\u2026to smooth, nourish, hydrate and brighten your skin.<\/p>\n

Exfoliating & Brightening 2:1\u00a0Turmeric\u00a0Mask\u00a0- I\u2019m obsessed with exfoliating and face masks, so I wanted to create a product that could be used as both a physical exfoliator and a\u00a0revitalising mask. I essentially wanted a product that delivered a post-spa facial glow, that can be done at home or when traveling, in one simple step and in under 10 minutes.\u00a0It contains natural AHA\u2019s from papaya enzymes and aspen bark to stimulate cell renewal, as well as rosehip seeds and quartz to polish and peppermint to control sebum production and for an invigorating tingle. I love to use it in the shower every second morning as an exfoliant and quick\u00a0mask. I apply it and keep it on while I wash my hair and\u00a0shave\u00a0my legs, then rinse it off. The peppermint aromatherapy is so invigorating and uplifting, especially in the mornings!<\/p>\n

Noni Glow Face Oil\u00a0- Our signature product. It contains certified organic Noni Extract, Rosehip Oil, Pomegranate Oil and Sea Buckthorn Oil to create a rich source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids to smooth, nourish, hydrate and brighten your skin.\u00a0We under took consumer\u00a0studies\u00a0and I\u2019m so proud of the results; 93% noticed their skin appeared more even-toned, with enhanced clarity after two weeks; 100% saw noticeable improvement in improved elasticity after four weeks and 93% saw noticeable improvement in the visible appearance of skin imperfections after four weeks.<\/p>\n
