What is an IPL Photofacial?<\/span><\/h3>\n

In an IPL Photofacial, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is used to treat pigment and vascular irregularities of the face.\u00a0 This is great for treating sunspots and dilated capillaries.<\/span><\/p>\n

What technology is used in the IPL Photofacial? How does it work?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Pigment and vascular lesions absorb the light which causes them to heat up and be destroyed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who are the best candidates for this treatment?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Fairly complected patients with sunspots and dilated capillaries are the best candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n

How does this treatment compare to others of the same nature?<\/span><\/h3>\n

There is really no other treatment that does this.\u00a0 I frequently use IPL Photofacials in combination with other treatments like fractional laser resurfacing, Botox, and fillers.<\/span><\/p>\n

What does recovery look like?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Sunspots get darker and slough off in 7-10 days.\u00a0 I advise my patients to have a two-week cushion before any major social event.<\/span><\/p>\n
